Once a race-horse retirement facility, Eagle Oak Ranch was purchased by Ms. Mahaffey in 2023 and completely refurbished. Ms. Mahaffey has been a premier Holsteiner breeder in the United States for over a decade. Her foals consistently, whether they are out of her mares, or by her stallion, receive the honor of being named Premium at Holsteiner approvals throughout the United States. Her top-quality Holsteiner horses continually demonstrate excellent ridability, athleticism, and temperament. It is the result of her passion for horses that Ms. Mahaffey is thrilled to establish Eagle Oak Ranch as a renowned equine boarding, breeding, retirement, sales, and training facility.
Manager of Equestrian Operations – Anke Magnussen
Ms. Magnussen has over 40 years experience with horses. Born and raised at her family’s farm in Northern Germany, Ms. Magnussen received a degree in horse breeding and training before coming to the United States. Prior to becoming part of the team at Eagle Oak Ranch, Ms. Magnussen operated her own facility in Thousand Oaks, Royal Oaks Farm. Her longtime involvement with horses is a tremendous asset to the operations at Eagle Oak Ranch.
