Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know — and a few things you might not think to ask

Planning Your Event

Wine country weddings, corporate retreats, milestone birthdays, family reunions, nonprofit galas, and more. If you’re gathering people you care about in a place worth remembering — we’d love to hear your vision.

For peak-season weekends, 9–12 months is ideal. Weekdays and off-season dates often have more flexibility. Reach out anytime — we’ll let you know what’s available.

From intimate gatherings to grand celebrations. Tell us your guest count and we’ll recommend the best spaces for your event.

Absolutely — we encourage it. Walk the grounds, see the spaces, and feel the views for yourself. Most people know within minutes.

Vendors and Coordination

No. Bring whoever you love — we just ask that all vendors meet our documentation and insurance requirements. We’re happy to share recommendations if you need them.

Yes. Bartenders need RBS certification, and catering staff need California Food Handler cards. Simple.

Yes — a professional event planner is required to ensure your event runs smoothly. For corporate events, an internal planner can serve in this role. We can recommend several who specialize in wine country weddings.

Our venue team handles everything property-related: logistics, vendor documentation, site prep, and on-site coordination. Your coordinator manages your timeline, design, and the flow of the event. Clear roles. No confusion.

No problem. We’ve partnered with The Event Helper — your vendor can get a quote and purchase coverage in minutes. We’ll receive the certificate automatically.

The Event Itself

In short, no. Our packages include a set number of hours, but extended time is available for an additional fee. All events must comply with San Luis Obispo County noise and lighting ordinances — silent disco is always an option for late-night dancing.

The Grand Oak Pavilion offers 6,000 square feet of elegant, customizable indoor space. Huge bonus: it is fully climate controlled.

Yes. We’ve partnered with Nuptial to make it simple and affordable.

Logistics

Plenty. However, valet service is required for all events — it starts one hour before your event (or by 3pm) and continues until one hour after.

We do. The country roads are beautiful, but shuttles let guests relax and enjoy the wine country scenery without navigating unfamiliar terrain.

Yes. Paved, flat areas are available throughout, and the Oak Villa features an elevator for overnight guests. Let us know if you have specific needs — we’ll make sure you’re comfortable.

Absolutely. For events with young children, we ask that appropriate adult supervision is arranged.

Safety and Property Details

Yes — security personnel are required for all events. We’re happy to recommend companies familiar with the estate.

For weddings and specialty events, the pool is closed to guests. If your celebration brings guests near the pool area, a lifeguard is required.

Eagle Oak Ranch is a working property with olive orchards and animals. We’ll guide you and your guests to the best spots to enjoy these features safely.
